Through the Audacious Project, TED has helped catalyze more than $3 billion in funding for projects that seek to make the world more beautiful, sustainable and just. TEDxPetalingStreet was established in 2013 as the first Chinese TEDx outside the Greater China region and in Malaysia. This platform is an annual conference planned, organized, and hosted by a group of passionate Malaysian volunteers. It aims to provide an inspiring, impactful, and creative platform for sharing great ideas, allowing Malaysian innovators, leaders, reformers, and dreamers to share their passion and ideals for changing the world in their native Chinese languages. At the conference, we hope speakers will share their thoughts and concepts in the most vivid and lively language, narrating the positive energy that has changed them and the principles they adhere to, so that more touching local stories can reach the world. In 2024, after hosting 10 annual conferences, TEDxPetalingStreet has established its team vision of "Moving People to Reimagine Possibilities" and five core values, which are: Keep Growing, Make a Difference, Do the Right Thing, Give with Love, and Deliver Happiness. We firmly believe that TEDxPetalingStreet can encourage participants from different fields to inspire each other, allowing good ideas and innovative thoughts to spread and be implemented quickly.
